How did this happen? We have had her two weeks and she's already spoiled rotten. She just ate an old shoe of mine; she chews everything. She gets up on her hind legs to survey the tables and the dresser, she sniffs around the chairs (don't even want to know what sort of interesting smells she finds there).
She is so good though, she spits out whatever is in her mouth and gets this desperately shocked look on her face as if someone had forced fed her or shoved the object into her mouth when she wasn't looking - looks at you from under those non existent eyelashes.
Once or twice I swear she motioned with her head in Richie's direction and rolled her eyes. I'm not buying it though. It's her. Last week she streaked through the bedroom with my bra in her mouth - poor dear nearly killed herself trying to cart that monster around. Richie hasn't done that since the honeymoon.
New toys this week - a squeaky mouse, a sqeaky ball tied to a black rope, a rubber tire that would fit on a hobbit roadster, two furry rubber balls.
New treats this week - (treats for dogs are really disgusting, the more disgusting the more expensive) one dried cow esophogus or throat or something like that, pig ears, and peanut butter on the $30 antler that she refuses to even acknowledge.
So far my shoe is her favorite.
I'm crazy about her.

We were lucky with The Beast: he chews much more than most Newfs, but after I told him once not to chew on the furniture, he didn't- he loves rawhide chewbones, so we keep him well supplied. They say that they can tear pieces off and swallow them and have the rawhide soak up moisture in the stomach and get big enough to block their GI tract. It has never happened, but he has urped up slimy chewbone occasionally. Dogs are really good at puking up what should not be in their stomach. I can't believe she falls out of bed! Usually animals are in the middle of the bed pushing the humans out!
So cute! I'm following from hop!

You made me think of Surprise, one of our dogs years ago. We used to toss him our apple cores and he would inhale them. We did this because whenever we ate an apple, he would stare at us as if he were starving to death. We felt guilty. I also loved the look on his face when he was embarrassed. Such obvious emotion. lol.
Love this! My wee blind JR has a houseful of squeakies. What does he prefer? A two-inch limb torn from one of them. Hunter-killer instinct, obviously. :) x
Hello. Cute dogs! Thank you for stopping by my blog and following. Just here to return the favor. Looking forward to reading more from you. Have a wonderful week!

I think we are becoming experts on what not to buy. She's shunning her food now - two weeks ago she would leap on that bowl of food. NOw we keep food in a bowl for her all the time and she ignores it. And still she's getting fat'
Darcy and all your other dogs are adorable. Great pictures.
Hi! My dogs sleep in my bed also! New follower from Monday Hop! I would love for you to stop by http://aboutamom.com to say hi & return follow!
Parker sleeps sideways, smack dab in the middle of the bed, belly up, velcroed to my thighs. Plus he snores. But Lucy adores him so he stays.
14 years ago, when she was a brand new 8 pound ball of RottShepherd, Lucy teethed on my new bedroom set. I'm okay with those chewed corners now. They're marks of our life together. Wouldn't have missed a day!
About the expensive toys. Get Fitz in the mix and then the favorite toy will be the one in the other dogs mouth.
Great dog tales, and tails!
Love the squirrels. I saw some today at my local park. I also saw a baby peacock. I'd never seen one before. I would have uploaded a photo but I got my thumb over it - typical! You are obviously a better animal photographer than I am!
